Parks and Rec CPR classes now available to minors

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – Learning CPR can save a life, even at an early-age.

That’s why the Rapid City Parks and Recreation Department is extending its pediatric and adult AED training and CPR first aid sessions to involve kids ages 11-14.

A spokesperson from the city says the class gives kids the opportunity to get a CPR certification. She added it’s vital for people to learn CPR and how to use an automated external defibrillator in the case of an emergency…
