Non-profit organization offers lockers to Lancaster Homeless population

LANCASTER, Pa. — A semi-retired first responder teamed up with a few organizations to help people experiencing homelessness store their items.

It’s part of an initiative called “Lockers for the Homeless,” a project created by Richard Canard.

When Canard came up with the idea, he was a patient care navigator at Lancaster General Hospital. He noticed as he cared for patients that they did not have a safe space to store their personal belongings…
