REDDING, Calif. — Paint the Town Redding is unveiling a new mural inspired by Redding’s culture and environment in downtown.
Paint the Town Redding is spearheaded by Visit Redding and the Forward Redding Foundation who are pushing a beautification initiative to promote culture, self-expression, and a sense of community in Redding.
“I think art just inspires the community, it inspires just being able to walk around, it inspires more creativity whether that be business it helps sustain a healthy economy. Overall, just being able to see art that evokes an emotion, whether you like it or you don’t,” said Danny Orloff, Visit Redding’s Tourism Marketing Director.
According to Orloff, the initiative goes beyond the murals but enhances the communication of what’s beautiful about the community as well. Their next project of painted electrical boxes will be unveiled in December in hopes of bringing more vibrancy to the cultural district…
