Red Bluff is still a desirable place to live | William Tells

For the past couple of columns, I have been writing about the Red Bluff of my youth, as opposed to the community as it exists today. Unfortunately, as I read my own words, it almost appears that I am saying that my hometown is no longer a desirable place to raise a family or live out one’s final years. Nothing could be further from the truth.

While I much preferred the Red Bluff of yesteryear, the truth is that while such issues as economic stagnation, rising crime, the homeless crisis, budget shortfalls, political discord, the drug pandemic, social media, etc., etc., etc., have negatively affected my beloved hometown, as relating to the world we live in today there is no longer any place to hide when it comes to such issues.  That said, I think I’ll just ride out the rest of my years with those who care about the most.
