REDDING, California — A man was fatally shot by Shasta County Sheriff’s deputies after a violent confrontation at a residence on Bobs Mountain Road, according to the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office. The incident occurred on January 1, 2025, when deputies responded to reports of a man under the influence of narcotics threatening to blow up a vehicle and harm himself.The man, identified as 52-year-old William Clark Littlefield, of Redding, California, exited the residence and engaged in a violent confrontation with deputies, prompting them to discharge their weapons.
