(FOX40.COM) — Northern California’s fire personnel are returning home after more than a week of working on the frontlines of the destructive Los Angeles wildfires.
In the days following Gov. Newsom’s State of Emergency Declaration, hundreds of firefighters from across the Sacramento region made the several hundred-mile journey south.

On Friday, the Linda Fire Department in Yuba County shared that their crew aboard Engine 262 returned home safely after working with Strike Team XYU-3300C.
“They made a significant impact containing fire spread, preventing new starts, and protecting structures. We’re grateful for their commitment to keeping our communities safe,” the Linda Fire Department wrote.
