PG&E crews have been working hard Sunday to restore power, after heavy winds and rain shook the Bay Area on Saturday.
As of Sunday morning, nearly 20,000 customers in the Bay Area still had no power. Nearly half of those were in Marin County. And about 3,000 were in San Mateo County.
“It was a significant storm. We measured wind gusts in several areas north of 80 miles an hour,” said Dave Canny, PG&E vice president of the north coast region. “We’ve seen a lot of vegetation impacting our lines – trees down, wires down, that sort of thing.”…
