Yankee Sweep A’s in last game ever in Oakland 7-4

OAKLAND, Ca (New York Yankees App) – Aaron Judge hit his major leagie leading 55th home-run of the season in the Yankees last game ever in Oakland to beat the Oakland Athletics 7-4 on Sunday to complete a three-game sweep for the Yankees.

Gleyber Torres and Jason Dominguez both went yard for the Yankees as well. The Yankees can clinch the division withe one victory over second-place Baltimore (86-70) during a three-game series in the Bronx that starts Tuesday night. New York also opened a two-game lead over Cleveland for homefield advantage throughour the American league playoffs.

The Oakland A’s will no longer be playing in Oakland following the 2024 season.

“Hopefully it will be rocking” Yankees manager Aaron Boon said of what he expectes the environment at Yankee stadium to be like on Tuesday.
