Redlands United Church of Christ will host their 45th anniversary show, Art for Heaven’s Sake! Fine Arts Festival on Oct. 18-20. Held at the beautiful grounds and gardens of the Redlands United Church of Christ at 168 Bellevue Avenue, this premiere art show of the Inland Empire will feature over 70 artists representing a wide variety of media, including acrylics, watercolor, oils, photography, stained glass, jewelry, pottery and metal sculpture. In addition, the show will host the Mosaic Boutique featuring fine crafts. Art and music are highlighted over the weekend.

The featured artist for this year’s show is Carolyn Machado. Carolyn creates mixed media and Mosaic Assemblages. She feels that her life as an artist has allowed her to be creative in several different mediums. She works with paper, repurposed materials, broken pottery or beads. She puts them together in an order that is not only visually pleasing but allows her to tell a story and/or give the viewer a moment of pause or reflection.

The first event was held in a private home in 1979. The show featured five local artists. This year’s show will accommodate over 70 artists. Although many selected artists are local, this year’s show will include artists from all over Southern California and beyond…
