Fire destroys Hanford High School facilities building Saturday

RICHLAND, Wash. – An early morning fire destroyed an outbuilding on the campus of Hanford High School Saturday.

Fire crews responded to the 400 block of Hanford Street just before 2 a.m. When firefighters got to the scene, a facilities building near the soccer field and baseball diamond had heavy smoke and flames shooting out from it.

It took fire crews nearly five hours to get the fire under control and out. The building had several vehicles used for landscaping parked inside the gate next to the building. According to information released by the Richland School District, the building and everything in it was destroyed.
