There’s never a dull moment in the Battle of the Bluegrass. A middle finger in the tunnel was just an appetizer of what was to come in the second half of Saturday’s game between Kentucky and Louisville at Rupp Arena.
Kentucky had a seven-point lead when there was a loose ball near the Louisville bench. Brandon Garrison did not dive on the floor, but the reserve Kentucky center did get dinged for a personal foul when he tried to rip the ball from the Card’s hands. That’s when things got chippy.
Garrison was surrounded by Louisville players on the bench. Mark Pope hustled over to prevent the situation from escalating. It was rivalry basketball at its best…
