LEXINGTON, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — A Lexington man is facing numerous charges after being found slumped over the steering wheel of his vehicle at the Yellowstone Parkway intersection.

According to an arrest citation, Colin Hurt, 34, was found unconscious in his vehicle around 11:35 a.m. with a gun and nearly $14,000 in plain view. The police entered his car and attempted to provide medical care. In the process, the gun was secured, and narcotics, later identified as heroin and methamphetamine, were found in the car, the police noted.
The police confirmed that the gun found in Hurt’s vehicle was reported stolen.
After regaining consciousness, Hurt was said to have fled on foot, with the police chasing him across snow and ice-covered roadways and yards, per the citation. Shortly after fleeing, Hurt was found hiding in a trash can, where the police said he resisted arrest, leading to him being tased.

Hurt, who is a convicted felon according to court records, was charged with:
- First-degree fleeing or evading police on foot
- Resisting arrest
- Trafficking in a controlled substance (heroin)
- First-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (< 2 grams methamphetamine)
- Possession of a handgun by a convicted felon
- Receiving stolen property (firearm)
- Operating on a suspended or revoked driver’s license
He was booked into the Fayette County Detention Center and is being held on a $15,000 cash bond…
