Lexington officials prepare for second round of snow this week

Lexington officials are contending with the second bout of winter weather this week. The National Weather Service expects an extra three-to-six inches of snow across Kentucky.

A winter storm warning is in effect for central Kentucky until early tomorrow. Lexington is extending its snow emergency protocols until Monday.

That means the city is activating its Emergency Operations Center and putting its public safety divisions on 24-hour schedules. No extra ice or sleet is expected…
