RBA 360 16U drops contest to Richmond Braves

It has been a tough season for RBA 360 16U (2-9), and the team faced another big challenge on Friday, June 30, when it battled Richmond Braves 2026 16U Platinum (10-5-2). RBA outhit Richmond seven to five, and Bryce Whitlock and Shane Jamison each recorded two hits; however, the Braves proved to be too strong and came out with an 8-2 victory.

On a blistering hot afternoon, Shawn Moore started the contest well for RBA, reaching first base on a fly ball mishandled by Richmond’s shortstop, Mason Coleman. Pierson Goodman was next up to bat and connected on a fastball that scored Moore and gave RBA an early 1-0 lead. In the bottom of the third, RBA still had a 1-0 advantage. Jamison put pressure on the Braves when he hit a bomb on the center field and sprinted around the bases before sliding into third. Goodman then stepped up and hit a ground ball to the infield, reaching first, tallying his second RBI by scoring Jamison…
