Northgate González Market is supporting its local communities through a series of charitable initiatives taking place during September.
The independent grocer recently joined forces with vendor partner Keurig Dr Pepper to assemble more than 500 care packages to uplift the spirits of children and their families fighting cancer at Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC).
The dark green Northgate Market-branded backpacks included essential items like coloring books, crayons, apple juice, apple sauce, water bottles, puzzles, a blanket and a handwritten note from one of the associates to the child. The grocer also gave 250 gift cards at $25 each to CHOC’s nursing staff in the Oncology Department to distribute to needy families…
