Cris Collinsworth has criticized NBC’s decision to focus on Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels’ injury , suggesting other players wouldn’t receive the same attention.
During Sunday night’s game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Commanders, Collinsworth and Mike Tirico were commentating as the Bucs took an early lead with a field goal. However, Daniels’ Commanders quickly responded.
The rookie led Washington to the Tampa Bay 25-yard line where he was pushed out of bounds and hit by Bucs cornerback Zyon McCollum. Despite receiving a cut to his face from McCollum’s hit, Daniels managed to convert on fourth down before throwing a 10-yard touchdown pass to Dyami Brown.
