Against what was its first true test of the season, Rutgers football showed on offense enough to churn out a win at Virginia Tech. While the truth is that the offense at times wasn’t pretty, it was however effective.
And for the Scarlet Knights, playing against a Power Four opponent on the road (and a good team at that), it was an impressive step forward.
