Patrick Henry High School’s band program has been recognized by the Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors Association with a unanimous Superior Rating at the South Central Marching Assessment event. This is only the second time in Roanoke City Public Schools (RCPS) history that a high school has been recognized with a unanimous superior rating at this event. Additionally, Patrick Henry is one of the few high schools in Southwest Virginia and one of about sixty high schools in the state to be recognized with this award. The Patrick Henry High School Marching Patriots — consisting of over 100 student musicians — received a Superior rating from all adjudicators in visual and music captions.
