CHESTER, S.C. — Chester’s MLK Committee recently received a notice from the city saying they’ll have to pay nearly $7,000 to host their annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day parade.
Since the parade was started 33 years ago, the committee says they typically only have ever had to cover a $25 application fee.
