1 dead in 2 car crash in Davenport

A man is dead after a late night crash in Davenport yesterday, according to a news release from the Davenport Police Department.

Davenport Police, Fire and Medic EMS responded to the area of East River Drive and Forest Road regarding a two-vehicle crash on Tuesday, December 17 at about 11:12 p.m. The preliminary investigation shows an eastbound Kia Soul lost control, crossed the center line and was struck by a westbound Chevrolet Trailblazer. The driver and only occupant of the Kia, a 30 year old man, was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.

The identities of both drivers are not being released at this time, pending family notifications.
