Woman awaiting trial for allegedly stealing from employer now facing charges for allegedly selling ecstasy

A Davenport woman awaiting trial for allegedly stealing from her employer has been arrested for allegedly dealing ecstasy, Bettendorf police said.

Brittney Jo Robbins, 34, is charged in Scott County District Court with one count of possession with the intent to deliver more than five grams of ecstasy. The charge is a Class B felony under Iowa law that carries a prison sentence of 25 years.

Robbins also is charged with violating Iowa’s drug tax stamp law, a Class D felony that carries a prison sentence of five years, and possession of a controlled substance-first offense, a serious misdemeanor that carries a jail sentence of up to one year.

According to the arrest affidavit filed by Bettendorf police officer Brian Morrisey, on Feb. 17 at 1:57 p.m. Robbins was driving a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan in the area of Middle Road and Kimberly Road in Bettendorf.
