Wisconsin to receive nearly $1.5 million for safer roads

MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin is set to receive $1.48 million to promote roadway safety throughout the state.

Several communities such as the City of Madison and the Greater Madison Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) will receive funding for creating safer roads. Both Rock County and Marinette County will also receive money.

A grant of $1 million was given to the MPO and the City of Madison, aiming for a goal of zero roadway fatalities by 2040…
