At tonight’s Elk Grove city council meeting, Elk Grove Police Chief Bobby Davis will present a report on enforcing the illegal fireworks ban in Elk Grove. According to the report 19 properties were fined $240,000. Earlier this year the city council approved increasing the fines for illegal fireworks to $1000 per firework.
This year the city used its drone program to locate properties shooting off illegal fireworks. 6 properties were cited for a total of $180,000. One property was responsible for over 100 illegal fireworks being used…
