“It’s always the next guy’s fault” – DeMarcus Cousins calls out Vivek Ranadive, says Kings need a management overhaul

DeMarcus Cousins says the firing of Mike Brown as the Sacramento Kings ‘ head coach is a case of history repeating itself.

Brown was the best thing to happen in Sacramento in nearly two decades. He helped the organization end the NBA’s longest postseason drought, leading them to the 2023 Playoffs after 16 years. However, after the team struggled off the gates this season, the Kings’ management decided to look for a different coaching option.

“I’ve seen that story before,” said Cousins on Run it Back on FDTV. “It’s the same blame game. It’s always the next guy. It was me at one point, it was Luke at another point, and the next coach after that, that was Mike. I remember it was Buddy Hield. It’s always the next guy’s fault.”
