Arlington Public Schools employee arrested for stalking, taking liberties with student

ARLINGTON, Va. (7News) — An Arlington Public School substitute teacher was arrested by police on Friday after a week-long investigation by the Arlington County Police Department’s Special Victims Unit, officials said.

The investigation found that Timothy McGhee, 47, of Alexandria, Virginia, allegedly initiated an inappropriate sexual relationship with a juvenile female student at Washington-Liberty High School. Police believe there could be more victims.

McGhee previously volunteered with youth groups at a local church and was a substitute teacher in neighboring jurisdictions in Northern Virginia, police said…
