Virginia troopers rescue driver from Fairfax pond

FAIRFAX, Va. — Two Virginia State Police Troopers rescued a woman from her car that was submerged in a retention pond Sunday night.

At 9:40 p.m., the troopers removed a 40-year-old woman from car located off of Interstate 66 in Fairfax County.

According to police, the driver went off the road and into the pond, leaving the driver stuck inside. Troopers A. King and B. Foret both jumped into the pond and were able to get the woman out through the sunroof…
