Preservation NC caps off conference in a town tapping into its history

Preservation NC’s three-day annual conference concluded at the Calvary Episcopal Church in Tarboro where attendees received a presentation of the historical landmarks located throughout the town before embarking on a self-guided tour of the locations that were celebrated.

The nonprofit organization was founded in 1939 to preserve historic buildings, landscapes and sites spanning throughout the state. The organization collaborates with community leaders, elected officials and historic preservation experts to ensure that historic buildings go to buyers willing to restore and upkeep the buildings, as well as educating the public about the importance of saving and renovating historical sites.
