John Calipari silences critics with Arkansas’ comeback win over Michigan: “They needed that”

The Arkansas Razorbacks have had an up-and-down season so far. After their last win against No. 14 Michigan, they have an 8-2 record, but it hasn’t been that easy for them since the start. They were struggling against subpar teams and losing against good teams like Baylor and Illinois, but they may have figured it out.

After several disappointing results, John Calipari’s team finally managed to win one big game. They made a comeback and closed the game with an 89-87 result.

“The Razorbacks come back from down 31 to 16. They guarded that well. They guarded that entry pass well and that’s a huge win for Cal in Arkansas,” John Fanta said on the After Dark podcast. “Their first quality win of the season. They needed that. I mean, they needed that.”

Calipari’s tenure so far hasn’t been impressive. It looked like Calipari continued where he left off when he left Kentucky, but he came to Arkansas just because of that – it hasn’t been working at Kentucky anymore, and he needed the change of scenery.
