Fire crews throughout Roswell and Chaves County spent much of Thursday morning working to contain a fire that engulfed a barn.
No people or livestock were injured in the blaze, but Matt Ford, chief of the Sierra Volunteer Fire Department, said that the barn, located in the 1100 block of South Wyoming Avenue, was a total loss.
Personnel and equipment from Midway Fire and EMS, along with the East Grand Plains and Berrendo fire departments, assisted with the response.…
