RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. — Crews are making progress on building fish-spawning habitats in the lower American River.
It is happening near River Bend Park in Rancho Cordova and near the William B Pond recreation area in Carmichael. Native fall-run Chinook salmon and steelhead trout migrate upstream through this area to spawn.
