When Carla Cline was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer at the age of 46, she was understandably anxious and afraid.
But when the Flagler Beach resident heard she could receive advanced treatment in her own backyard at AdventHealth Palm Coast, it made her feel a little more comfortable, according to Cline.
Now, nearly two years after undergoing chemotherapy and immunotherapy, Cline is considered cancer free and continues screening to ensure she remains so.
Center promises advanced treatment closer to home
On Thursday, AdventHealth hosted the grand opening of its new Freytag Cancer Center which will allow more local patients like Cline to stay closer to home when receiving care.
