All-St. Johns County high school boys cross country 2024: Meet the team

The St. Augustine Record selects its annual All-St. Johns County team for high school boys cross country in the 2023 FHSAA season.

Ponte Vedra senior Tanner Andrade-Brinsko, the District 2-3 runner-up with a 15:28 season best, is the Record’s boys cross country runner of the year.

FIRST TEAM

Tanner Andrade-Brinsko, Sr., Ponte Vedra

Ran Northeast Florida’s second-fastest time (15:28) at Cecil Field; District 2-3A runner-up placed 17th at Class 3A meet.

Jackson Lafser, Jr., Creekside

Broke through with personal-best 15:40 at Class 4A championship, finishing fifth at state.

Braden Motycka, Sr., Bartram Trail

Ran 16:19.40 at state meet, with a best time of 15:48 at Cecil Field.

Bryce Motycka, So., Bartram Trail

Finished 30th in 16:14.40 at state championship; had a 15:38 at Cecil Field and ran 16:02 at Alexander/Asics.

Eli Scharf, So., Creekside

Season’s fastest time was 15:47 for rising Knight, who came in 27th (16:12) in Class 4A championship.

Cole Swesey, Jr., St. Augustine

District 2-3A champion came in 11th at Class 3A meet; ran 16 minutes or faster four times, including 15:40 at Cecil Field.

Gavin Voils, Sr., Nease

Gained ground fast late in season, running 15:56 at Region 1-4A meet and placing 15th at Class 4A championship…
