UND relying heavily on its freshmen as the first half comes to a close

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (Valley News Live) – UND faces off with St. Cloud St. this weekend in its final series of the calendar year, and in a first half that’s been up and down, North Dakota has relied heavily on its freshmen class.

North Dakota’s freshmen were especially noticeable last weekend at Miami (OH) when Dalton Andrew, Cody Croal, and Andrew Strathmann each scored their first NCAA goal.

“Last weekend against Miami was kind of a weekend for the freshmen to really step up,” Defenseman Abram Wiebe said. “I thought they did a really good job, so they’re slowly finding their way and I think us as a team as well.”…
