First security gate installed at Metro stop in Missouri

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – The first Metrolink stop in Missouri got a security gate installed on Friday.

The Cortex stop in St. Louis City had security gates and a fence installed. It’s the fifth platform to get the new security system, but the first on the Missouri side of the river.

Bi-State’s security manager Kevin Scott said the security gates are crucial in making safety the priority. On top of the gates, there’s also 8-foot-high fencing that surrounds the platform and tracks to prevent people from hopping over it…
