Missouri Braces for Rain and Warmer Temperatures Starting Monday Along the I-44 Corridor

Springfield, MO – Rain is on the horizon for much of Missouri, starting late Monday and continuing through the week. Residents along the I-44 corridor should prepare for potential wet travel conditions as rainfall spreads south and east.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) Springfield office, rain chances will begin increasing Monday night, with the heaviest rainfall expected Monday into Tuesday. Areas along I-44 are forecast to receive between 0.50 to 1.25 inches of rain by Wednesday. Temperatures will trend warmer, reaching highs in the upper 40s to low 50s by midweek.

Rainfall is expected to continue through Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, with occasional dry periods.
