Man dies after crashing on Highway 52 in Inver Grove Heights during icy conditions

INVER GROVER HEIGHTS, Minn. (FOX 9) A 74-year-old man died after he lost control of his pickup truck on Highway 52 during wintry conditions in Inver Grove Heights Saturday afternoon.

Fatal crash

What we know: According to the Minnesota State Patrol, just before 1:30 p.m., a man driving a pickup truck was traveling up an entrance ramp from Concord Boulevard onto northbound Highway 52.

The man lost control of his truck at the top of the ramp, then crossed the lanes of traffic and collided with another car that was heading northbound on Highway 52.

Authorities say the man’s truck came to a stop on the left shoulder, while the other car came to a stop in the left lane.
