Carole Baskin’s ‘Big Cat Rescue’ closes its doors for good

TAMPA, Fla. — As Joe Exotic hopes for a pardon from President-elect Trump, his “Tiger King” adversary is kicking off a new chapter.

Carole Baskin’s Big Cat Rescue, which has rehabilitated animals like tigers, lions and leopards since 1992, is closing its doors for good on Tampa’s Easy Street.

Owners Howard and Carole Baskin shared that their remaining cats were successfully relocated to Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge in Arkansas by December 2023. The Baskins helped build new enclosures for the cats and will fund their care for the rest of the animals’ lives…
