STRATHAM — The New Hampshire SPCA is urgently seeking adopters for 250 mice and rats after receiving more than 800 from a single Seacoast home last month.
Dubbed “Mouse-ageddon” and an “Enor-mouse problem” by some, NHSPCA officials said the unprecedented surrender has placed a significant strain on the shelter’s resources.
From Friday, Dec. 13-15, the NHSPCA will be waiving adoption fees for all mice and rats and providing starter kits, including a tank, bedding, and other essentials, to new adopters. The goal is to find loving homes for the remaining 250 rodents in just one weekend…
