SAN DIEGO — Crews extinguished a brush fire in Mission Valley near southbound Interstate 15. Large plumes of smoke were seen near the freeway before firefighters put out the blaze.
The fire broke out around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, authorities reported. All traffic was stopped southbound I-15 between Friars Road and I-8 in the area of Camino Del Rio but has since been reopened.
Some of the fire crews responding, were also diverted to the Mission San Diego Trolley stop to put out a second fire at 100 feet by 100 feet…
