In an effort BART has dubbed as the “Big Sync,” Bay Area transit agencies will now coordinate their schedules with each other in order to reduce travel time for riders using multiple services.
The Big Sync was conceptualized during a meeting of 20 Bay Area transit agencies, coordinated by the Blue Ribbon Transit Recovery Task Force — which was created by the Metropolitan Transport Commission during the pandemic.
The task force, consisting of local elected officials, representatives from state government, disability advocates, transit operators and state transportation agency members, assisted the commission in understanding the pandemic’s impact on Bay Area transit systems…
