James Taylor scheduled to perform at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter and American guitarist James Taylor is set to hit the road on tour next year with his All-Star Band, which includes two shows in San Diego.

Taylor, 76, earned his first Grammy nominations in 1970 for Record and Song Of The Year for “Fire and Rain” plus Album Of The Year for “Sweet Baby James.” He won his first Grammy the following year for Best Pop Vocal Performance, Male for the song, “You’ve Got A Friend.”

In 2000, Taylor was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Now, the acclaimed artist is embarking on a North American tour that includes 24 shows, including a stop in San Diego.
