ITYT EXCLUSIVE: Colin Simmons explains what led him to start Clay’s Color Crew

On a very special episode on the Inside Texas Football YouTube channel, Joe Cook speaks with Texas freshman EDGE Colin Simmons , his mother Monica McCarley, and Dallas-area artist Ken Womack for information on Simmons’ Clay’s Color Crew charity, which he founded to support his brother Clayton and those with autism in the South Dallas community.

Simmons’ brother Clayton was diagnosed with autism in 2020 and Simmons realized there were limited resources in Duncanville and South Dallas for those on the spectrum. As a result, Simmons and McCarley started Clay’s Color Crew in order to bring awareness and resources to those who may not have had them in the past. Simmons talks about how Clayton’s love of colors resonated with him, and how it served as an inspiration for the charity. McCarley gushes about how proud she is of her son for looking out for Clayton.

Womack is an artist and Longhorn from the Dallas area who has a special line of art associated with Clay’s Color Crew where 25 percent of the proceeds from art associated with CCC will go to the charity…
