Conference play begins this week for every team in the seven-team Sandhills Athletic Conference but Pinecrest. During the final seven weeks of the 2024 regular season, one team will be off that week while the other six pair off in three league games.
As conference play gets under way, there is only one team that has yet to take a loss, and everyone has at least one victory. Defending SAC champion Pinecrest swept its non-conference foes and is 4-0; Lee County and surprising Union Pines are 3-1; Southern Lee is 2-1; Richmond 2-2; and Hoke and Scotland are both 1-3.
