Union Pines tennis nailed down the top 3A spot in the Sandhills Athletic Conference Tuesday evening, as the Lady Vikings played host to Southern Lee and completed a season sweep of the Lady Cavaliers with an 8-1 win.
The two teams have been 1-2 in the 3A half of the SAC every season of the conference’s existence, and Union Pines beat Southern 7-2 earlier this season when the teams met in Sanford.
