SAN JOSE — After three blazes, a shooting, a dog attack and the accumulation of garbage, a possible solution is in sight for a blighted and fire-scorched abandoned property in San Jose which started receiving complaints six years ago.

In response to inaction at the site, city officials may seize control of several parcels that have become a full-blown eyesore at North Fourth Street and East St. John Street in downtown San Jose due to steadily worsening blight woes.
