A wharf in California collapsed and fell into the ocean, taking with it three construction workers who ultimately survived the ordeal.
It happened around 12:45 p.m. Monday at Santa Cruz Municipal Wharf, the Santa Cruz Fire Department said. The department was alerted that an area surrounding the Dolphin Restaurant and a restroom collapsed into the ocean along with three construction workers. The area was under construction and had been closed to the public since January.
