4-star point guard KJ Cochran commits to Santa Clara

Santa Clara has landed a huge commitment in the class of 2025 in four-star point guard KJ Cochran.

The 6-foot-3, 195-pound point guard from West Chester, Pennsylvania chose Santa Clara over Boise State, Loyola Chicago, Temple, and Saint Joes. Cochran is ranked No. 121 in the 2025 class.

“I chose (Santa Clara) because of the relationship I built with the staff,” Cochran told 247Sports. “I talked a lot with Coach (Ryan) Madry and he knows my style and how I play. He has coached guys who made it to the next level who are all my size and have similar basketball IQs. That’s what he talked about when he recruited me. He compared me to them in different ways but also highlighted how I’m my own player. That was important for me because it showed he knows what to do with those kind of guys and that helped lead me to my decision.”…
