8 units damaged in San Jose apartment fire displacing 14

SAN JOSE, Calif. San Jose firefighters put out an apartment complex fire early Friday morning, where eight units were deemed uninhabitable.

The three-alarm blaze, reported at 2583 Gimelli Way near Capitol Square Mall, was reported just after 5 a.m. and knocked down an hour later, San Jose firefighters said.

The original 911 calls said people were trapped inside, which triggered a large response by first responders.
