Great America, one of the Bay Area’s largest theme parks in Santa Clara, California, is set to close earlier than anticipated in 2025. According to reports, the park’s final operational day will be October 25, 2025, instead of its usual January closure. This follows the 2022 sale of the 112-acre property to developer Prologis for $310 million. Cedar Fair, the park’s owner, had until 2033 to wind down operations but has now confirmed a substantially shortened season for 2025. The park, which has been a staple since the 1970s, will not host WinterFest or any seasonal events in its final year, leaving fans with a limited window to visit.
