SALINAS, Calif. — A holiday tradition in Oldtown Salinas won’t be canceled after all; the Holiday Parade of Lights is back on after it was abruptly canceled last week by organizers.
“Without it, I think we lose something, you know, the holiday spirit is really important, particularly for all the businesses downtown, and the people loved it, and the streets have always been packed, so whatever they did to get it going, thank God, I mean, I’m happy that it’s back,” said Salinas resident Frank Saunders.
